We are proud to announce that we have teamed up with the children’s charity Little Lady Locks, which is giving unwanted Pivot Point mannequins a new purpose — helping children care for their wigs and hair systems.
Who are Little Lady Locks?
Little Lady Locks is a Manchester-based children’s charity providing free bespoke wigs, hair systems and hair accessories to children experiencing hair loss. They support children under 18 from across the UK, helping to make life with hair loss a little more comfortable and giving children confidence as they navigate their individual hair-loss journey.

How can I get involved?
We are asking anyone who has a Pivot Point mannequin that is no longer needed by you to kindly tidy it up and send it to the charity so it can have a new life and help a child care for their wig.
The mannequin can then be taken home and used to safely hold the child’s wig when it isn’t being worn. It can also make brushing, styling and caring for the wig easier. It’s a simple way to give an unwanted mannequin a new lease of life — while helping a child look after something that means so much to them.
Before sending it, please prepare your mannequin using the steps below:
- Step 1: Select and prepare your Pivot Point Mannequin by shaving the head to hold a wig and cleaning up any marks or extra makeup.
- Step 2: Create a social media post or story to share what you are doing to help spread the word. Don’t forget to tag PP & LLL
- Step 3: Box up, including a note of your sender details as LLL always likes to thank donors, and post directly to: Little Lady Locks (The Pivot Point Mannequin Scheme), Ferranti House, 107 Wickentree Lane, Failsworth, Manchester M35 9AY.

Little Lady Locks FAQs:
1. Can I send any mannequin head?
Little Lady Locks is looking for both Male and Female mannequins of any skin tone. They particularly value the quality of Pivot Point mannequins, and we have worked closely with the charity to determine how the mannequins should be prepared to ensure they are suitable for the children receiving them.
2. How can I clean the mannequin?
We have created a video showing you how to clean your mannequin and remove makeup here. It is important, as the mannequins are going to children, that they are as natural as possible, so excess makeup and any excess colour would need to be removed.
3. How short does the hair need to be cropped?
Please crop the hair as close as you can. That way, a wig can be placed easily and comfortably over the head. A buzz cut is perfect.
4. Why do I need to include my details in the shipping box?
As a charity, Little Lady Locks keeps a record of where donations come from. They also like to thank their supporters personally, so please include your:
- Name
- Salon/centre name (if applicable)
- Social media handle(s)
- Email address
